Fishing With Trent

Trent and Mike were on a weekend mission to catch a 30 pound catfish.  We headed south to Carmack Creek on Lake Barkley on Friday night, and then to Duncan Bay on Kentucky Lake on Saturday.  Many strategies, many rigs, many failures.  But we succeeded on many other levels.

Renting a “fishing boat” from Moor’s Marina for half a day didn’t help.  Won’t be doing that again.  The joy ride was OK, the cigars were good.

A few hands of gin.  Good Guys won the first game, but the Bad Guys came back strong.   Meanwhile, the Cardinals beat the Reds.

We didn’t count this as success.

Sunday morning, a thunderstorm roared up on us while we were having coffee.  First time for “weather” aboard Random Plan.  Swung around on the anchor, which held very well.  And we got a good boat wash out of it.  No problems.
